Physical Therapy

We know that you are more than your injury. At BUILD, we take a whole-person approach physical therapy. Rather than just treat the tissue source of pain, we focus on identifying a comprehensive problem list in order to address the underlying causes of injury, dysfunction and poor performance. We strive to provide quality, evidence-based, 1-on-1 care to help you achieve YOUR goals. Our PTs have advanced training in a variety of areas including functional dry needling, biomechanical analysis, pelvic floor therapy, neurological conditions, and sports & orthopedics.

BUILD Running Gait Analysis

The BUILD Running Gait Analysis is a comprehensive service to help runners of all levels improve running performance and reduce injury risk. It begins with an assessment of the runner's sports and injury history, current training, and running goals. A running-specific physical therapy evaluation is then conducted, followed by complete analysis of run gait. We utilize force and pressure mapping and video analysis to gather data and analyze the runner's gait. Our job is to break down the data and findings to create actionable steps for the runner to improve running performance and decrease injury. Runners will leave with a complete report and understanding of analysis findings and a plan for improvement.

BUILD Bike Fit & Cycling Analysis

The BUILD Bike Fit service is a comprehensive approach to optimizing your cycling position, with the aim of minimizing injury risk and improving performance and comfort on the bike. Each session begins by understanding the cyclist's sport history, injuries, and goals, followed by a comprehensive, cycling-specific physical therapy evaluation. On the bike, we utilize Retul 3D motion capture technology and analyze cycling dynamics and movement patterns. Based on the exam and analysis, the bike position is individualized and optimized for each cyclist's biomechanics and goals. Following the bike fit, cyclists will receive a report including position measurements, a better understanding of their body and bike position, and actionable steps to continue to improve on the bike. Every BUILD bike fitter is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with personal cycling experience and a passion for biomechanics!

BUILD Size Cycle Fit

A BUILD Size Cycle fit is ideal for a cyclist looking to find their ideal bike position measurements before purchasing a bike. This is great for determining the right size, or bike geometry for you! It involves the same thorough assessment and exam, followed by use of the Retul Size Cycle that can be adjusted to match the dimensions of the cyclist's actual bike or the ideal geometry for their body type. The Size Cycle is equipped with adjustable components such as the saddle, stem, and handlebars, which can be fine-tuned to suit the cyclist's individual biomechanics, mobility, and position goals. The fit bike can also be used to test different bike setups, allowing the cyclist to experiment with different components and positions to find the optimal fit for their needs.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Class IV laser therapy is a non-invasive, FDA approved medical treatment that uses a high-powered laser to penetrate deep into tissues and promote healing. Class IV laser can be used as a stand-alone treatment, or along with physical therapy to accelerate tissue healing, decrease pain and inflammation, and improve circulation. It is used to treat a variety of conditions, including many common sports injuries, chronic pain, and various muscle and tendinopathies.

Blood Flow Restriction Therapy

Blood flow restriction (BFR) is a rehabilitation and/or training technique that can help you build stronger muscles with less resistance and stress on your joints. Using a specialized cuff, blood flow is restricted to your muscles during exercise, which creates a state of low oxygen and metabolic stress that stimulates muscle growth and strength adaptations. BFR can be used in a rehab setting to restore and improve strength and is also used by athletes to enhance training. BUILD uses the highest standard of BFR device, the Delfi unit to safely and accurately perform BFR rehab and training.

InBody Composition Analysis

InBody is a non-invasive body composition analysis that provides a detailed breakdown of the body composition, which can help individuals and healthcare professionals to monitor changes in body composition, set goals, and track progress. Measurements like body fat percentage, muscle mass, and basal metabolic rate can be particularly useful for athletes and individuals looking to track body changes and improve their overall health and fitness.

Normatec Compression Boots

Normatec Compression Boots are a type of compression therapy device used for post-workout recovery and injury rehabilitation. The boots use a pulsating air compression system to improve blood flow, reduce inflammation and soreness, and accelerate recovery time.

They listened to every concern I had and looked at way more than just the basics of a bike. More so, they were very nice and explained the reasoning behind every...
