Larry Meyer
Owner, PT, DPT
Larry is the mastermind behind BUILD! He brings 15+ years of bike fitting and running gait analysis and 19 years of orthopedic and sports medicine experience. He has focused his career to building a highly respected and science-based biomechanics and physical therapy practice. With cutting-edge technology, years of experience and education, he is dedicated to providing exceptional physical therapy, movement strategies and performance improvement solutions for his clientele. Outside of BUILD, you can find Larry spending time with his family and cheering on his children at their athletic events.
Evan Culbert
Director of Operations, PT, DPT, Advanced Functional Dry Needling Specialist Cert
Evan began his career as a traveling physical therapist working in sports rehabilitation clinics across the country, managing endurance athletes and an active patient population. He brings experience competing as a professional triathlete and years of coaching endurance athletes to BUILD. Evan strives to identify the root cause of injuries and limitations, rather than just chase pain, to create lasting solutions and help his clients move better, feel better, and improve performance. He is specializes in bike fitting and run gait analysis, utilizing current research to guide practice. Outside of BUILD you can find Evan playing intramural dodgeball, training for triathlon, and riding his bike.
Sue Nakaoka
PT, Advanced Functional Dry Needling Specialist Cert
Sue brings over 30 years of professional experience to her craft! She specializes in manual therapy with orthopedic, sports, and spine rehabilitation and has a passionate skill for integrating Functional Dry Needling into her practice. Sue uses FDN as a powerful neurophysiological reset to help patients recover from injury and perform at their peak. Sue’s practice revolves around looking at each client’s individual full-body issues and assisting them to reach their goals. Outside of BUILD, you can find Sue teaching FDN courses throughout the US and Canada and enjoying her native state’s scenery with her husband while hiking, biking, and snowshoeing.
Mia Ramsey
PT, Advanced Functional Dry Needling Specialist Cert
Mia has over 20 years experience treating just about any type of patient! She has spent most of her career in orthopedics and loves digging deeper to find the underlying cause of a patient’s symptoms. She has been a Dry Needling specialist for over 12 years and loves implementing this tool to facilitate change in movement patterns and pain. She also enjoys teaching this technique to clinicians around the US and Canada. Mia enjoys spending time with her two daughters, husband and crazy doodles hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and anything outdoors.
Ryan Kohler
Ryan is an exercise physiologist the Head Coach of the BUILD Cycling Academy MTB Team.
He performs Metabolic/VO2 Max testing at BUILD. He is a USA Cycling Level 1 Coach and USA Cycling Coach Educator.
Ryan has over 20 years of experience focusing on junior and adult endurance in MTB and road events, and is skilled in cycling-focused strength training, skills instruction, and movement analysis.
ZZ Gore
Zz has an extensive history in coaching and strength training. Her interest in the science of training began as a track and field athlete at Purdue University where she was a double major in Kinesiology and Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
She has experience coaching athletes from a variety of sports including football, cross country, track and field, cheerleading, golf, volleyball, soccer, ice hockey, softball, swimming and diving, basketball, and tennis.
Zz is an avid runner herself and trains for both half and full marathons. Along with an extensive training routine, Zz has her own run coaching business and is an assistant track and field coach at Centaurus High School.
